English Camerata Soloists

Yorkshire’s first touring chamber orchestra, English Camerata Soloists was formed for the Mozart Bicentennial Celebrations in 1991 and their concerts during this important year won enthusiastic audience support and critical acclaim.
Since then they have played throughout the UK, with significant sponsorships enabling them to play in venues both large and intimate, taking the highest standard performance around the country.
Specialising in Mozart and the classical repertoire, they have also played Rachmaninov and Strauss with equal success; their New Year’s Day concerts in Bradford became a tradition. With Elizabeth Altman they have played Mozart concertos directed from the keyboard; Leland Chen, violin, has directed Vivialdi’s The Four Seasons with the ensemble and other distinguished soloists including Arthur Pizarro, winner of the Leeds Piano Competition and Tasmin Little have played with the “SOLOISTS”.
Inspired by their love of chamber music, English Camerata Soloists run an annual Music Summer School which is now entering its 14th year.
The CHAMBER MUSIC SUMMERCOURSE 2011 runs from
14th to 19th July
