APPLICATION INFORMATION

Chamber Music Course 2011 at SHREWSBURY SCHOOL

 14th to 19th JULY 2011

Chamber music (classical and baroque) coaching for the following instruments: piano, harpsichord, strings (violin, viola, cello), wind (clarinet, oboe, cor anglais, flute), and brass instruments (trumpet, French horn, trombone).

Presence: You may opt for any number of days of coaching (Friday to Tuesday) according to your availability.

Residential facilities: Thursday night to Monday night

Thursday is an arrival day, when you may register and enjoy all the on-site facilities including rehearsal rooms, swimming pool (on request), etc. The domestic accommodation will be available from 1p.m..

Fee structure: Full-time coaching & accommodation for the five days costs £135 per day (twin-bedded, double occupancy if desired). Three- and four-day participation is charged at £140 per day; one and two- day participation is charged at £145 per day.

PLEASE NOTE PRICES ARE FOR FULL DAYS

STARTING EITHER AT 4.30 IN THE AFTERNOON AND ENDING WITH COACHING THE FOLLOWING AFTERNOON.

OR STARTING WITH BREAKFAST, MORNING COACHING AND ENDING AFTER DINNER ON THE DAY.      

NO REDUCTION CAN BE MADE FOR ANY PART DAYS MISSED OR MEALS NOT TAKEN.

The fees include bed and breakfast accommodation, all meals, tea/coffee served at breaks, coaching, welcome drinks and after-dinner entertainment on the Sunday evening. 

Non - residential participation:  If you live nearby and would like to attend on a daily basis, the daily price would be reduced by £20. Please mention that you will not need accommodation on the application form against the ‘no accommodation’ line for the days you are coming.

Terms: deposit 50%; final payment AT LATEST BY 18th JUNE 2011.

CANCELLATION FEES

If you are unable to attend a booked course, the following cancellation fees will be retained/payable:

Cancellation advised and confirmed- per day of booked coaching

Prior to 31st May £10 per day; 1st June to 1st July £50 per day;   After 1st July:£100 per day.

English Camerata Soloists will make all efforts to replace the cancelling instrumentalist.

In case substitute customer fills the place, cancellation fee would be reduced to £10 per day.
